Law Library Audio Tour

This podcast was created to help users learn more about the Miami-Dade County Law Library for the Office of the State Attorney.  The audio tour covers all of the resources available for use in the law library. The target audience for this podcast is anyone that would want to access the law library, but was not sure how to access it or did not know what resources were available. I wanted the listeners to learn that they can access Westlaw, have full printing, full internet and that they are able to receive Westlaw training upon request.

  1. I have never actually listened to an audio tour of a library before - museums, yes; libraries, no. But I'm really impressed with this podcast - it was very informative and I felt like I was really there in your library.

But two questions: 1. Does security reasons for not having Microsoft Office code for being poor like all libraries?; and 2. You didn't mention WiFi -- does your library not have wireless internet access?

  2. Brent,
I really enjoyed listening to your informative law library audio tour. It seems like your podcast, if not already available, would be great to have posted on the Miami-Dade County Law Library. I could also see how this pod cast might be utilized at (if the library has one) an entrance kiosk. I was surprised to hear about no Microsoft Office. It was an interesting fact that the your library does contain all the FL cases. I agree that "FREE" resources such as podcasts are valuable assets.
